Spring is in the air, and it is time to dust off your bike and ride to work! May is National Bike to Work Month!
May has been recognized as Bike to Work Month since 1956 through the League of American Bicyclists.
Bannock Transportation Planning Organization (BTPO), the transportation planning agency for the Portneuf Valley, sponsors activities that educate the community about bikes as a beneficial mode of transportation. By arranging these activities, BTPO plans to make bike information available, encourage people to try bike commuting, promote safety and increase the general public’s awareness and respect for bike riders.
Biking is a great way to get to work. It is fun, healthy and a cost-effective, environmentally friendly mode of transportation.
Sponsorship of the events helps provide funding for community promotion, t-shirts, and prizes.
Join us in celebrating an entire month of biking events in the community that promote the strong cycling community we have here in the Portneuf Valley.
Sponsorship deadline April 15, 2016
